SPECIAL NOTICE AND WAIVER REGARDING COVID-19 RISKS AND PRECAUTIONS: Coronavirus/COVID-19 is a contagious pandemic, and the CDC and other public health authorities recommend social distancing and other measures to help reduce the chances of catching or spreading this disease. Attending any meeting or event could increase your chances of contracting coronavirus. In order for you to attend the 2022 Golf Classic (hereinafter the “Event”), the Atlanta Ronald McDonald House (“ARMHC”) requires that you commit to taking the following safety precautions to protect yourself, other attendees, and the community at large: practice social distancing; wear a face covering while indoors with other people; use good hygiene regarding handwashing, coughing and sneezing; comply with public health guidance and abide by local/state orders; and abide by instructions given by ARMHC or event hosts whether verbal or in writing. You agree that you will not attend the Event if at any point during the 14-day period prior to the event you (a) test positive for coronavirus/COVID-19; (b) develop any symptoms of coronavirus/COVID-19; or (c) come into contact with someone who has tested positive for coronavirus/COVID-19. You are aware and understand that the Event is a potentially dangerous activity and involves the risk of being exposed to or contracting coronavirus/COVID-19. You understand that, while ARMHC has implemented measures to reduce the risk of the spread of coronavirus/COVID-19, ARMHC cannot guarantee that you will not become infected with coronavirus/COVID-19 due to your participation in the Event and that engaging in the Event may increase your risk of contracting coronavirus/COVID-19. Notwithstanding these risks and by accepting ARMHC’s invitation to the Event, you acknowledge that you are voluntarily participating in the Event with knowledge of the dangers involved. You hereby agree to accept and assume all risks of injury, illness, disability, and/or death arising from your engaging in the Event, whether caused by the ordinary negligence of ARMHC or otherwise. In addition, you hereby agree to forever waive and release any and all claims against ARMHC, its officers, directors, employees, agents, affiliates, successors and assigns related to coronavirus/COVID-19 in exchange for the opportunity to voluntarily attend the Event. This notice and waiver does not extend to claims for gross negligence, willful misconduct, or any other liabilities that Georgia law does not permit to be released by waiver.
