While Abby Teems and her father, state Rep. Devan Seabaugh, R-Marietta, have long known and supported ARMHC, Teems never imagined she would experience the nonprofit firsthand. At just 13 weeks pregnant, Teems and her husband, Chayson Teems, learned that their son’s abdominal organs had not retracted into his body as expected — a rare congenital condition requiring careful monitoring throughout her pregnancy.
