Stop Childhood Cancer Alliance

Atlanta Ronald McDonald House Charities is proud to be one of the fifteen partnering organizations of the Stop Childhood Cancer Alliance in Georgia. On September 9, 2015 families, supporters, advocates and senators gathered in the atrium of the Georgia State Capitol as Governor Nathan Deal recognized September as National Childhood Cancer Awareness Month.

Cancer is the leading cause of death by disease among U.S. children from birth to age 15. Each year, more than 15,000 new cases of childhood cancer are diagnosed. At our Ronald McDonald Houses, childhood cancer is one of the leading diagnoses affecting the families who rely on our “home-away-from-home while their children receive medical care. These statistics are staggering and we’re proud to #GoGold in support of childhood cancer awareness!
