Volunteering with Atlanta Ronald McDonald House Charities can be a rewarding experience for college students.
Our families and staff rely on volunteers to make our Houses and programs welcoming.

Commitments & Requirements

This program is for college freshmen, sophomores, juniors or seniors interested in supporting Atlanta RMHC. Students will have the opportunity to engage in unique volunteer opportunities and initiatives independently throughout their college/university community.

College Volunteer Program

Projects & Initiatives

  • Organize pantry drives and Pop Tab collections.
  • Host activity nights at the Atlanta Ronald McDonald Houses.
  • Organize Give-Back Nights at local restaurants and establishments.
  • Participate in the Meals That Heal program.
  • Engage peers through speaking engagements with approved materials.
  • Organize fundraisers to support Atlanta RMHC.

How to Apply

  • The program is for first-year to senior-year college students.
  • Complete the application and submit a letter of recommendation no later than Friday, August 23.
  • Late or incomplete applications will not be considered. Students will be encouraged to reapply for the following school year.

College Volunteers Must

  • Commit to 1 year, with the possibility of continued service throughout your studies.
  • Attend 2 of 3 scheduled meetings and complete 4 independent initiatives or a minimum of 20 hours through the fall/spring semesters ($500 fundraising goal).
  • Raise awareness about ARMHC in your college/university community.
  • Pay a $20 membership fee (T-shirt included).
