07 Dec Atlanta RMHC Families Enjoy Night at the Hawks Game, Courtesy of BMW
Thank you to our Atlanta Area BMW Centers for a fun night at the Atlanta Hawks Game on November 19. Our families were invited to go on the court and meet Hawks players during pregame activities then watch the game in the BMW Suite.
Carolyn Snell and her son, Trey, had fun at the game. Trey enjoyed playing ‘Simon Says’ with the other children.
“The experience was amazing and felt like a breath of fresh air after being in the NICU for months,” Carolyn says. “I was able to get my mind off of the fact that I have a baby in the hospital and got to spend time with my other son and watch him smile.”
Ashley Grace Hicklin and her brother, Blaine, had a ‘phenomenal’ time in the BMW Suite. “Mrs. Jenn was really nice and gave us a bag full of treats,” Ashley Grace says. “It was amazing!”
Blaine enjoyed the food in the suite and loved the cookies. Ashley Grace was especially excited when she got a fist bump from one of the team captains. Blaine was thrilled when the Hawks won after an intense game. “My favorite part was watching everyone go crazy with a buzzer-beater win,” Blaine says.
Landon Moye and his father, Chad, loved every minute of their first professional basketball game. “Landon liked the VIP treatment that was provided,” Chad says. Because of a severe traumatic brain injury, Landon has a sensory issue of overstimulation, which makes it difficult for him to sit through many events.
“Being in the BMW Suite gave us the opportunity to take breaks when Landon needed them,” Chad says. “It was a once in a lifetime experience, and we were blessed with the opportunity to participate.”
