Abby McCollam

Thank you, Abby McCollam, for Helping Atlanta RMHC Families

Georgia Institute of Technology electrical engineering student Abby McCollam, 21, from Huntington Beach, California, is putting her strong math and science skills to work as a tutor while helping our families.

Since 2020, Abby has helped more than 30 students in middle and high school. “It is a very rewarding experience to help students succeed and improve in subject areas that they struggle with,” Abby says.

A member of Alpha Delta Pi sorority, Abby has seen the local impact of Atlanta RMHC through volunteering and keeping up with our social media. She was inspired to take being involved with her sorority’s philanthropy one step further.

“I want my tutoring business proceeds to help children and their families,” Abby says. “I believe money can go a long way helping those in unimaginable circumstances.”

Abby believes in our mission and appreciates our staff, volunteers, and donors. “They have such warmth and compassion,” she says. “I feel that everyone who contributes to Atlanta RMHC has genuine empathy and cares for the encounters of each family.”

Abby has a passion for both children and learning, which is why she decided to become a tutor.
