09 Dec Rohan’s Legacy of Giving Back Continues to Inspire

A young man with an old soul, Rohan Malempati had an enthusiastic smile and a generous spirit. Although he was diagnosed with Omenn syndrome as a baby, the struggle didn’t harden him. It instilled in him a deep sense of compassion.

Rohan’s family spent nearly a year at a Ronald McDonald House during his treatment. As Rohan got older and learned more about his story, he dedicated himself to giving back. He joined his two passions — the Rotary Club and the Ronald McDonald House — by coordinating club volunteer visits at the House.

Rohan died when he was 17 years old. His parents, Raje and Prasad, carry on the legacy of his generous spirt through their work with our Atlanta Ronald McDonald Houses. “The Ronald McDonald House contributed enormously to our being parents to Rohan for 17 years, and we have so much gratitude for that.”
