24 Mar Thank you for caring for our families
I want to express our gratitude to you during this extremely challenging time for us all. We are so heartened by the recent outpouring of support so many of you have expressed for our families and staff. On behalf of all of us at Atlanta RMHC, I extend our thanks for your caring thoughts and concern.
Your health and well-being matters to us and I hope you are doing what you can to protect yourself, your family, friends and your community. We remain very committed to the well-being of the children and families we serve, many who are among the most vulnerable with weakened immune systems. Over these past weeks, we have worked hard to implement the necessary protocols designed to protect our families and staff and keep them safe.
We appreciate how deeply you care for the families who rely on us, like Billy Johnson’s, who have stayed at our Ronald McDonald House near Egleston for nearly 500 nights. The Johnsons, Mark, Molly, Annie and Billy, are staying with us as Mark and Billy recover from kidney transplant surgery. In February, Mark donated a kidney to his son. Billy is fond of his “home away from home,” calling it “Ronald’s House.” Thanks to generous friends like you, Billy and his family know they are never alone. Learn more about the Johnsons.
Thank you for your loyalty and compassion for our families. We will continue to update you as we monitor this ever-changing situation. These are truly trying times, but we know we will all get through this together.
With gratitude,
Beth Howell
