How to Stay With Us

There is no time more difficult than when your child is diagnosed with a life-threatening illness or injury. Atlanta Ronald McDonald House Charities are here to help with open doors.

Eligibility

To stay at one of our Ronald McDonald Houses, families must have a child (up to age 21) who is receiving medical care at an Atlanta-area hospital or medical center. Although families are asked to make a donation of $20 per night, no family is ever turned away due to inability to contribute.

Who can stay?

Due to the high demand for our services and occupancy restrictions, our accommodations can only be offered to those family members involved in the daily care of the patient. All guest rooms are limited to four individuals.

How do I request a room for my family?

All families who wish to stay with us are required to complete the room referral process and pass a background check. Referrals can only be made through a social worker at the hospital where the patient is being treated. Once the referral has been processed and approved, one of our staff members will contact you with instructions on how to complete the online background check. After the background check results have been processed, a staff member will contact you to discuss room availability. Please note that completing this process does not guarantee you and your family a room.
