06 Feb Meet Anna Marie Wright, New Ronald McDonald Care Mobile Nurse
Meet Anna Marie Wright, who joined the Ronald McDonald Care Mobile team as a nurse. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Mathematics from Agnes Scott College and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Emory University.
“I’m honored to contribute to our team’s mission of helping children and families in Atlanta to thrive by increasing access to asthma care,” Anna Marie says.
For the past three years, Anna Marie, has provided patient care to children in some of Atlanta’s most underserved communities during her tenure at Community Advanced Practice Nurses Inc. Prior to working for Community Advanced Practice Nurses, Anna Marie completed her student nursing at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta – Egleston and Grady Hospital.
Anna was interested in working on the Ronald McDonald Care Mobile because she truly believes that meeting patients in the communities where they live, work and play is key to improving patient outcomes and preventing ER visits.
In her new role, Anna Marie hopes to bring a smile to a child and ease the worry of their caregiver. “Children with chronic conditions, like asthma, require a lot of follow-ups,” she says. “Bringing the Care Mobile to the community helps families overcome transportation barriers and reduces the amount of time away from school and work.”
In addition to ensuring every patient receives high quality care, Anna Marie promises they will have a little bit of fun while on the Ronald McDonald Care Mobile.
