09 Mar Meet the Striker Family!
Liam is a 10-month-old who has stolen the hearts of all Atlanta RMHC staff and volunteers! Liam and his parents, Luisa and Cheyenne, are from Chattanooga, Tennessee. They have been staying at our House near Egleston for more than two months.
Liam was diagnosed at birth with BA, or Biliary Atresia. This rare condition for newborn infants requires a liver transplant and this week, Liam received the life-saving transplant he needed! He is now back at our House near Egleston after only being in the hospital for a few days. His parents are amazed by his resilience and high spirits, and so are we!
“We love how welcoming everyone is in the House. We’ve made many new friends! It’s nice talking with other parents who have a child going through the same situation as our Liam. It’s a wonderful place!”
– Luisa, Liam’s Mom
We’re so glad to offer Liam and his parents a safe refuge during his recovery from surgery!
