02 Sep RMHC International Conference 2015
Last week the Atlanta Ronald McDonald House Charities team attended the Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) International Conference in Chicago. We were joined by 1,110+ individuals from Ronald McDonald House Chapters in 41 other countries. We shared best practices and insights about how our programs are helping keep families close when they need it the most.
Our team attended educational sessions, networking events and the RMHC Hearts and Hands Awards Gala where chapters excelling in programs were recognized for their achievements in expanding reach, mobilizing support and growing awareness. We also spent time with RMHC founders, Fred and Fran Hill, and were honored to watch as they awarded RMHC Taiwan with the Kim Hill award for their outstanding work in raising awareness for their mission.
It’s overwhelming to witness the kind of impact that RMHC has as a charity worldwide. Our staff is awestruck by the wealth of knowledge that we have access to within this global charity on behalf of our local chapter in Atlanta. And, it’s all for the benefit of our mutual mission: to serve families of ill and injured children.
No matter who we are, what language we speak or where we are from, the importance of family is universal. Family is our focus!
