23 Jan Star 94.1’s Jenn Hobby to Emcee 2nd Annual Handbag HULLABALOO!
Every girl deserves a designer handbag. Even better if they can feel good about going home with one while also giving back to their community. On Tuesday, Feb. 26, Atlanta Ronald McDonald House Charities will host its second annual Handbag HULLABALOO™ fundraiser, where guests will have the opportunity to win up to 60 luxury handbags by playing raffle games. Jenn Hobby, co-host of Star 94.1’s The Jeff and Jenn Show, will emcee the exclusive event at 6 p.m. at the Cobb Galleria (2 Galleria Parkway SE, Atlanta, GA 30339.) Individual tickets are $150 and a table for 10 is $2,000. Tickets can be purchased here.
“This is the epitome of a fun girls’ night out, but you also have the added benefit of supporting an amazing charity,” Jenn says. “Playing games to win high-end designer bags, all while helping support children with illnesses and their families, is a dream event. I’m thrilled to be involved.”
The philathropic handbag heaven will feature brands such as Louis Vuitton, Ballenciaga, Valentino, Givenchy and Chole. All proceeds benefit Atlanta Ronald McDonald House Charities and will help keep families with sick children close to each other and near the medical care they need.
Hobby is co-host of Star 94.1’s “Jeff & Jenn Show” and has worked on multiple Atlanta radio stations since 2000, including WBTS-FM, WWWQ-FM. She earned a “Gracie” award for her work in radio and an Emmy for her work in TV at Georgia Public Broadcasting.
Hobby is a graduate of Florida State University and is married to Grant Rivera, and they are raising their two daughters in Marietta. After their younger daughter beat cancer, Jenn and Grant have become advocates for childhood cancer research, raising more than $157,000 to date through Reese’s MaGIC fund, which funds pediatric malignant germ cell tumor research.
“In 2018, we raised $40,000 at our first-ever Handbag HULLABALOO™, which helped support 51 families for 455 nights, saving them more than $80,000 on food, hotel and other expenses,” says Beth Howell, president and CEO for Atlanta Ronald McDonald House Charities. “The response to this event was overwhelming, and we’re excited to bring it back again this year.”
