25 Jan The Cheesecake Factory Celebrates 10 Years of Hospitality on the Golf Course and in the Houses
For the last 10 years, The Cheesecake Factory and Tim Creedon, area director of operations, have organized a golf tournament to benefit Atlanta Ronald McDonald House Charities.
“There are few organizations like yours that help families in the community directly… There could not be a better organization,” says Tim of the partnership that helped 4,626 families through three programs in 2018.
“Golf is a place for fun and fellowship,” Tim said of the inspiration for the tournament, adding “these are two values that both The Cheesecake Factory and ARMHC want to live out.”
This year, the tournament raised $15,000 for our families. “I know that the money we raise goes to the people who need it most,” Tim says.
In addition to the annual tournament, Tim and his staff provide meals for the families at both Houses throughout the year.
In fact, Tim recalls serving at the Gatewood House near Egleston in 2017 when he met a teenage girl and her family. The teenager was a foodie, whose Make-a-Wish trip included visiting New York to dine at famous restaurants.
After talking with her mom for a while, Tim felt rewarded when the girl commented that it was the best meal she had ever eaten in her life.
“I love that I was able to put a smile on someone’s face,” Tim says, “This is a House full of love.”
