18 Apr Meet Joe Gonsalves, one of our Ronald McDonald House Volunteers
We are celebrating National Volunteer Appreciation Week and saluting all our volunteers who make a difference every day for our families.
Meet Joe Gonsalves, one of our wonderful volunteers at the Ronald McDonald House near Scottish Rite. He has been serving our families since 2017.
“I was inspired to volunteer with Atlanta RMHC after receiving very positive feedback on how well the organization supports families during a challenging time in their lives,” Joe says. “Atlanta ARMHC really does a great job of helping families. I appreciate the opportunity to be a part of the organization’s efforts.”
Joe says his favorite volunteer memory is a talk with a little boy at the House who wanted to know about Joe’s volunteer responsibilities. “It was a neat moment!”
His favorite contribution is helping LaTreva, our House Manager; Ansley, our volunteer coordinator and other staff members with caring for the families. “If my efforts support their work, I have accomplished my personal goals.”
“Atlanta RMHC has provided me with the opportunity to help others and make a positive difference in the families’ lives,” Joe says. “I feel a great sense of accomplishment while volunteering at the Peachtree-Dunwoody House.”
