22 Mar 2018 Annual Report: The Junior League of Atlanta
Together with Atlanta Ronald McDonald House Charities since 1994
A committed partner with Atlanta RMHC, the Junior League of Atlanta (JLA) has provided thousands of volunteer hours, served hundreds of meals and donated generously over the years. As JLA President, Carla Smith shares what she’s learned personally about Atlanta RMHC and what she’d like everyone to know about the Houses’ impact on families.
“Two words come to mind when I think about what the Atlanta Ronald McDonald Houses give to families: security and stability. Atlanta RMHC provides families facing the unknown with the security of having a safe place to live together while their child is receiving treatment. It instantly begins to provide peace and stability giving families one less thing to worry about.”
Teamwork and love are central here …
“I want people to know the enormous amount of passion for children and families that’s embedded in all that Atlanta RMHC does every day. I’ve watched the team carefully consider and plan for those who they will host. They truly want the best experience and outcome for every family they serve.”
Families inspire volunteers …
“Their love, strength, courage and dedication are inspiring to us all. We are blessed to be able to serve them and to be a part of their healing journey.”
Join us and continue the mission …
“Come by the Houses for a visit. You will be ready to make a donation larger than you anticipated after seeing the investment in action. I’m reminded all over again of the ‘why’ of how making a decision to support Atlanta RMHC translates into transformational impact for a family in need.”
