15 Aug Chef Jeff Frehoff Joins Atlanta RMHC for Chef-Led Meals That Heal Program
“I’m excited to work for one of the most honorable charities I’ve come across, and to bring comfort to families through food,” Chef Jeff Frehoff says.
Comfort through food – that is the goal with our new chef-lead meal program. With the help of our new culinary manager, Jeff, and wonderful volunteers, we look forward to all of the well-balanced meals provided to our families staying at our Ronald McDonald Houses.
Jeff is an award-winning chef and has worked in the food service for more than 40 years. With an illustrious career working with many different kinds of food and owning seven restaurants, we knew Jeff was the right chef for our kitchen.
“It’s an honor to join this team. I’m excited to work with different volunteer groups to create fun and healthy meals,” Jeff says. He was drawn to the role because of the comfort and services provided to families who have enough to handle with their hospitalized children.
“For many years, I would work long hours filling my role as general manager, managing partner or executive chef, and would have to seek out fulfilling outreach work during my off hours,” Jeff explains. “This position as culinary manager at Atlanta RMHC allows me to do both at the same time – serving families Meals That Heal!”
Jeff is a leader in his industry, being a columnist, cooking demonstrator, job coach and consultant. As if he weren’t busy enough, he has served as a Methodist pastor for eight years and as the personal chef for CBS sportscaster Jim Nantz in Augusta during Masters’ Week for 12 years.
If you would like to help Chef Jeff bring delicious meals to our families, support our Meals That Heal program or volunteer to join him in the kitchen.
