Our friends at MJS Packaging ensured families at our House near Scottish Rite had warm blankets this holiday season. They worked together as a team to create nine fleece blankets and delivered them recently.

“There were four of us from the Atlanta office who worked on these blankets,” says Christy Fain, Inside Sales Specialist with MJS Packaging. “The MJS Social Committee, of which I’m a member, wanted to do blankets this year as one of our charitable donations. I picked out the fabric.”

The company nationwide created and delivered:

• 9 blankets for our Ronald McDonald House near Scottish Rite;
• 6 blankets for the Ronald McDonald House near Brewster, New York;
• 5 blankets for the Ronald McDonald House near Omaha, Nebraska; and
• 25 blankets for the Ronald McDonald House near Livonia, Michigan.

Christy says the team most enjoyed the camaraderie and sharing “how warm and cozy these are.

“We loved knowing they will be enjoyed and cherished by someone,” Christy says, “It was nice taking a break from our work schedule to sit with our coworkers on the floor, listen to music and chit chat while we prepared these blankets.”

Christy, and her co-worker, JoAnne (in red shirt), dropped off the blankets before Thanksgiving.
