01 Mar Luke’s FastBreaks – Bringing Comfort to Hospitalized Children

An organization called Luke’s FastBreaks recently visited our House near Egleston to deliver some colorful T-shirts to the children!

These fun shirts have snap tape down the sides in order to replace traditional hospital gowns in hopes of making children happier during medical treatment. The creative idea came from 9-year-old cancer survivor, Luke, from Dallas, TX. Luke wanted to feel like a regular kid during chemotherapy and felt like hospital gowns made him “feel more sick.” Luke and his parents created the first shirt, and when other children at the hospital showed interest, Luke’s FastBreaks was founded!

We are so lucky to have Luke’s FastBreaks visit our House and bring to much joy to our families through their unique shirts! A hospital visit for these families will never be the same!
