18 Jan Meet Madeline Murphey, a Spring Volunteer Services Intern
Meet Madeline Murphey, a senior at Georgia College & State University, who is one of our determined, passionate, and positive Volunteer Services interns for the spring 2019 semester.
Madeline is pursuing her bachelor of science in public health and has been an active volunteer at Atlanta Ronald McDonald House Charities for the past three and a half years with her sorority, Alpha Delta Pi. When she discovered our intern program, she was eager to learn more about the administrative side of a non-profit organization.
“I wanted to find an internship that meant something to me and also where I felt like I could make a difference in the individual’s lives as well as be impacted by the experience,” Madeline says.
A volunteer services intern, Madeline will learn more about and gain greater understanding of the significant role volunteers play in Atlanta Ronald McDonald House Charities. She is looking forward to building meaningful relationships with all those involved in the charity.
“Having the opportunity to be a part of an organization that impacts so many people is so fulfilling and I am so thankful for this opportunity,” Madeline says.
“I have met some of the most incredible individuals since being a part of the Ronald McDonald House and it has brought me more joy than I ever could have imagined. I am fortunate to be at such an incredible place and I am looking forward to the next couple of months as the volunteer services intern.”
