We are halfway through 2023 and the demand for our services has never been greater. Through June, we have provided:
- 1,424 family visits in our Ronald McDonald Houses and partner hotels
- 503 patient visits through our Ronald McDonald Care Mobile with stops at area schools and McDonald’s
- 25,898 family visits to our Ronald McDonald Family Room at Scottish Rite
Families with sick or injured kids, like little Caleb Byrd’s, who must travel for needed medical care, depend on our services to meet immediate needs and reduce worry.
“Caleb’s treatment would have been extremely difficult to navigate without Atlanta RMHC,” says mom, Jamie Byrd. The family traveled from Louisiana for Caleb’s treatment for Hyper IgM, a genetic immune deficiency disease.
The Byrds appreciate the laundry and kitchen facilities, nightly meals and our Transplant Suites. With medical bills piling up, staying at our House has prevented the additional financial burden and stress of finding a place to stay.
“The amount of support we have received from Atlanta RMHC is immeasurable,” Jaime says.
