07 Mar PACE Academy Second-Graders Create Scavenger Hunt at House near Scottish Rite
Each year at PACE Academy, every grade is assigned a philanthropic theme and selects a charity to serve. This time, the second-graders worked on health care and adopted Ronald McDonald House Charities for the second year in a row. During the holidays, each class assembled snack, toiletry and activity bags for the families. They also created a craft for the families with witty clues for a scavenger hunt.
On Feb. 21, PACE teachers, Robbi Hudgins and Debbie Sanders’ classes paid a visit to our House near Scottish Rite, where the students dropped off their donations, took a tour and set up the scavenger hunt.
The students were especially proud to deliver the scavenger hunt prize basket which was filled to the brim with coloring books, toys and games.
Kimberly Nuckols, our vice president of administration, helped facilitate this partnership because her children attend PACE Academy. “It’s always a pleasure partnering with the PACE Academy second graders,” Kimberly said. “We look forward to seeing what next year’s students come up with.”
