A former school bus driver for Fulton County Schools, Katrina Robinson, was recruited by the previous driver of the Ronald McDonald Care Mobile, Mr. Rogers.
Katrina loves children and has taken a few EMT classes. “I wanted to further my career in the medical field while still working with kids,” she says.
Driving the Care Mobile has been a bit of an adjustment from driving the school bus, with it being longer and taller. But with her experience and being from Atlanta, Katrina is up for the challenge and the perfect woman for the job.
Katrina says driving the Care Mobile is like driving a Volkswagen. “I do love driving it.”
She is enjoying her new role, and her favorite school to visit is Fickett Elementary School.
Her favorite part about the program is being able to bring medical care to where kids sleep, eat, and play. “I love the convenience of the Care Mobile and that we can bring care to children that might not be able to go to the doctor,” Katrina says.
