With a Press of a Button, Vivian de Jesus Wins the 2020 BMW Raffle

After months of selling tickets, the final drawing of 2020 BMW Raffle was over and done in less than a minute with just the press of a button. That’s how long it took for Vivian de Jesus to pick the winning key and start the BMW to claim the grand prize.

Vivian de Jesus“Oh, my goodness, this is great,” Vivian said after starting the BMW with the key she randomly drew from a glass bowl. “I have never won anything. My luck must be changing. I’m feeling very lucky and very thankful. I never thought I would win.”

Vivian, who serves on the Charity’s board of directors, said she supports the Charity because she knows what it is like to have a child with a life-threatening illness.

“I didn’t need the Ronald House, but I feel for those who do,” Vivian said. “We need to do more to help these families.”

The 2020 BMW Raffle raised $159,000 to help support 1,297 families for one night at our Ronald McDonald Houses. Vivian was one of three finalists, who included Rita Wilson and Christopher Olen.

“It is so nice to know our transplant kids have a place to go,” says Rita, a transplant nurse with Childrens Healthcare of Atlanta. “It is just wonderful what they do. I have served dinner and collected Pop Tabs.”

Christopher said he has bought a ticket for the last couple of years to support the families served by the Atlanta Ronald McDonald House Charities.

Vivian selected a 2021 BMW X7 and picked it up shortly after Christmas. Rita received the BMW 101 Driving Experience, a weeklong test drive package. Christopher received the Macy’s $500 gift card.
