Our Individual, Guest Services Volunteers make our Houses feel like a “home-away-from-home.”
Guest Services Volunteers maintain a set schedule of two-hour shifts weekly or biweekly. Guest Services volunteers must be at least 18-years-old and commit to at least six months of service, subject to our needs.
Because of the unique nature of all our volunteer placements, our policy is to not accept any volunteer placements by any court-mandated referrals.
Provide a well-balanced meal to warm the hearts and bellies of families when they return from a long day at the hospital.
This program is for groups with a maximum of 12 volunteers at our House near Egleston and up to 10 volunteers at our House near Scottish Rite. All volunteers must be at least 9 years old and accompanied by an adult chaperone if under 18 years old.
Our goal is to provide families with a variety of age-appropriate opportunities for activities, entertainment, and education while staying at the House.
This program is available from 7 to 8 p.m. Monday – Thursday. Groups of up to five-eight volunteers, over 9 years old, are welcome. All volunteers 18 and under require a chaperone.

Our Individual, Family Room Volunteers are vital to providing a comfortable ‘home away from home’ for our families within the Aflac Cancer and Blood Disorders Center within Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta – Scottish Rite.

Provide a well-balanced meal to warm the hearts and bellies of families who have children receiving care within the Aflac Cancer and Blood Disorders Center within Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta – Scottish Rite. This program allows for a maximum of four volunteers serving within our Ronald McDonald Family Room. All volunteers must be 18 years and older to volunteer within the Family Room and hospital. All volunteers must bring their driver’s license or government issued ID with them to enter hospital.
Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta Exclusion Policy
All food must be prepared or purchased from a commercial kitchen establishment such as a restaurant, caterer or deli.
Individuals, schools, businesses and corporations can help raise funds by saving pop tabs from aluminum cans and recycling them for the proceeds to benefit our Houses. Learn More.

Not sure what to do with extra hotel shampoos and soaps? Combine those items with toothpaste, a toothbrush, hand sanitizer, travel size deodorant, etc. and you have a complete hygiene kit for a family in need. Contact us about donating hygiene kits to our families.
This program is for high school students ages 15 to 18 interested in participating in a Teen Board that raises funds, volunteers and advocates for Atlanta Ronald McDonald House Charities. Teen Council Members serve from October to May. Click here for application.
