2018 Atlanta Ronald McDonald House Charities Impact Summary

Our impact and accomplishments in 2018 were amazing, thanks to your investment in our mission! Let’s take a closer look at what the numbers really mean….

For our families who stay at our two Ronald McDonald Houses, it can be enjoying the comforts of home.

“The Ronald McDonald House eases overwhelming emotions by providing us a respite, whether it is a delicious bowl of macaroni and cheese or a hot shower, it brings us comfort,” says Melissa Jones, a guest of the Peachtree Dunwoody House.

For our volunteers, it’s the families they help and the inspiration they draw from them.

“The people we have met, while serving them, are incredible. They teach us what it means to be hopeful and strong,” says Kevin Cannon, a longtime volunteer with Atlanta Ronald McDonald House Charities.

For families using our Ronald McDonald Family Room at Scottish Rite, it’s a smile or snack that helps them get through another day with a sick child.

“The staff, volunteers and other families show support by being interested in each other’s lives during these trying times. Just a smile and greeting are enough to get you through another day,” says Lindsay Hood.

And sometimes, it’s as simple as a paw shake or belly rub with Betty Lou during her weekly office hours.

“Ryah and Rishard are in love with Betty Lou! We are so pleased with how we were treated and we will always come back,” says Phylise Davis, a guest of the Gatewood House.
