Meet Zach, One of the Amazing VolunTeens

Meet Zach Huang, a rising 11th grade, teen volunteer whose journey at the Atlanta Ronald McDonald Houses, began when he tagged along with his parents to help.

Volunteering became Zach’s way of helping and connecting with others.

“Volunteering at the Atlanta RMHC has made a difference in my life as it has given me a passion for volunteering, helped me bond with people, and given me a way to serve,” Zach says.

His favorite time at the House is participating in the VolunTeen program. Zach met one of the kids in the Game Room and they chatted a lot. One day, the child asked, “’Are we friends now?’” This made Zach realize how much volunteering could bring people together and made him more passionate about volunteering and helping others.

Zach loves helping in the Game Room the most because he can use his knowledge about technology and games.

“I love how my experience with technology and other trivial knowledge of game systems helps the House and families,” Zach says.
