Ronald McDonald House Kitchens Reopen to Volunteers

After a nearly 2-year pause due to the pandemic, we are thrilled to welcome our Meals That Heal volunteers back!

Groups of up to 6 people can sign up to cook and serve meals for our families each night. “Providing a nourishing meal allows you to connect with our mission personally and is a meaningful way to give back,” says April Clark, director of family and volunteer support services.

“The fact that we did not have to spend money on meals was very helpful given our situation,” says one family staying at our Ronald McDonald House near Scottish Rite.

Another family staying at our Ronald McDonald House near Egleston says the snacks and meals made such a difference. “After a long day with doctors, it was nice to come back, grab a prepared meal and rest.”

The volunteers make such a difference for our families, April says. “They make our Houses feel more like home — especially when the kitchens smell heavenly.”
