04 Oct Vulcan Materials Company Adopts Guest Room to Support Families
Late in September, Vulcan Materials Company executive Jimmy Fleming arrived at the Peachtree-Dunwoody Ronald McDonald House to present a $5,000 check to adopt a room.
“Vulcan is really excited to partner with Atlanta Ronald McDonald House Charities,” Fleming said.
Former Board Chair, Jeff Wansley, first introduced Fleming to Atlanta Ronald McDonald House Charities through a visit to our new House on Peachtree Dunwoody Road. “I was tremendously impressed,” Fleming shared.
Fleming was surprised to learn that Atlanta RMHC supports children and families receiving treatment at The Shepherd Center, an organization Vulcan has long supported. “Atlanta RMHC seemed like a tremendous fit for our company and a great cause in which our employees could engage.”
Employee volunteer opportunities are one of many benefits of adopting a room. Additional benefits include multiple recognition opportunities, guided House tours, complimentary meeting space, and more.
Sponsorships maintain guest rooms throughout the year by underwriting the cost of utilities, linens and cleaning, and annual repairs from paint to carpet tiles. Annual sponsorships are $5,000 for a guest room or $7,500 for a two-bedroom transplant suite.
