Atlanta Falcons Hometown Huddle Visits Sick Kids & Families

We had a few very special visitors last week!  Atlanta Falcon football players arrived at our door and surprised our families!  As part of the NFL’s Hometown Huddle Initiative, every player on the Atlanta Falcon’s roster spent the day visiting schools, businesses, and organizations across metro-Atlanta including our very own “Home-away-from-Home.”

Harry Douglas, Eric Weems, and Jonathan Massaquoi bonded with children and parents over a delicious lunch.  While the players came with the purpose of giving back to the community and showing their appreciation, they also gave our families the best possible gift: a moment to forget about their worries, and experience an once-in-a-lifetime opportunity they will always remember.

Whether our Falcons are battling a big game or our children are battling a life threatening illness or injury, they both share a similar story of strength and determination.  We are very grateful to have had the opportunity to welcome the players into our home, and the encouragement and inspiration shared between players and families that day meant the world to us.
