24 Aug For a Day — Carnival!
Our families love when volunteers and friends from For A Day Foundation visit our Ronald McDonald Houses. Every time they walk through our front doors, a family oriented and fun-filled night is always ahead for us.
This month, our families at our House near Egleston enjoyed a Carnival in the front yard! Volunteers set up games, painted faces, blew bubbles and brought so much joy to the children and families that call our House their “home-away-from-home.”
About For A Day Foundation: For a Day Foundation, a 501(C)3 organization is committed to creating emotionally therapeutic experiences for children battling cancer and other chronic illnesses. The program is known for providing the children and their families with a joyful and much needed diversion from the strain of chronic treatment. Their mission is simple: bring a smile to a child’s face; even if that child has not smiled in weeks. They use role models, make believe, and play therapy to give each child the opportunity to imagine and live out a fantasy while experiencing a moment of the childhood they all deserve. The For a Day Foundation is a national non-profit organization with chapters throughout the United States. The Atlanta chapter does programming throughout the Atlanta area at both Ronald McDonald House locations and other children’s organizations throughout the area.
