Volunteer Spotlight: Capgemini Continues to Make Difference

Capgemini, a global leader in consulting, technology, digital transformation and serving its community, has stepped up to help Atlanta Ronald McDonald House Charities keep families close during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Since 2008, Capgemini has prepared meals for our families every month and sponsored the Atlanta RMHC Golf Classic and Hearts & Hands Gala. More recently, Capgemini employees, Jason Paulose and Lily Thomas, and their fellow volunteer organizers have personally seen the difference their contributions have made for our families.

“I have this fond memory of playing hide and seek with one of the children we were serving that night and it was so amazing to see the pure joy on his face while he was running around,” Jason said. “It didn’t even feel like volunteering. It was nothing short of a great time.”

Even though volunteer groups cannot visit the Houses now, they continue to show their enthusiasm in serving Atlanta RMHC’s mission by providing meals and financial contributions when they can. Since March, Capgemini has provided two meals and is scheduled to provide another this month.

“We encourage others to volunteer because I promise when you do it once, you’ll always want to come back,” Lily and Jason say.

Before volunteering at our Ronald McDonald Houses, Jason and Lily didn’t know the extent of how families are being assisted during their hardest times.

“I was really surprised at how involved the volunteers are,” Lily says. “It was nice to see first-hand who you’re impacting. After one volunteer experience with Atlanta RMHC, I wanted to tell everyone I knew and help them get involved because it was that awesome.”

You too can make a difference in so many families’ lives with a gift today.
