Meet Members of Our Red Shoe Society

The Red Shoe Society is open to young professionals in the Atlanta area who seek to lend a helping hand in meeting the needs of the nearly 3,000 families served by our Ronald McDonald Houses annually. Meet some of our executive board members who make a difference throughout the year.

Alexandria Miller

Alexandria Miller

Social Chair Alexandria Miller

Meet Alexandria Miller, who joined the Red Shoe Society — Atlanta as social chair in January 2019. She has served on the executive for a year and a half. Alexandria joined the Red Shoe Society to meet new people in the Atlanta area. Her favorite memory is volunteering at the Hearts and Hands Gala.

“It was so fun to see how many people were excited to give to ARMHC. It is such a well-organized event with the silent auction, live auction, and appearances from Atlanta RMHC families.” Alexandria added how amazing it is to see the impact donations at the event have on the lives of the families the Charity supports.

Volunteer Chair Angel Glover

Angel Glover

Angel Glover

Meet Red Shoe Society — Atlanta member Angel Glover, from Beaufort, South Carolina, and an employee at AppVault. She joined in November 2018 and has served as the Co-Volunteer Chair and now Volunteer Chair.

“Red Shoe is a phenomenal way for young professionals to support the Ronald McDonald House’s mission of keeping families close during the hardest of times.”

Some of Angel’s favorite memories were playing BINGO with the families, pre-COVID. She says it is fun to see everyone’s competitive side come out as they anticipate the calling of the next letters!

Membership Chair Amanda Guthrie

Amanda Guthrie

Amanda Guthrie

Meet Amanda Guthrie, who joined the Red Shoe Society — Atlanta two years ago to help make an impact on sick kids staying at the Ronald McDonald Houses. From Orlando, Florida, Amanda serves as Membership Chair. Some of her favorite memories during her time at Red Shoe include making craft projects at fellow member Angel Glover’s house and meeting with other young professionals.

“One of the reasons I joined was to meet more young professionals. Through our volunteer nights, I can learn more not only about my fellow members but about their career paths as well.”
